Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): In response to the BJP Zuhneboto division president, Shikuto Sumi’s statement, published in local dailies on Nov. 27, the former vice president of the division, Vikaho T Zhimomi in a release stated that he has resigned on his own will as he lost confidence under the leadership of Shikuto Sumi.
Zhimomi said and for his forwarded his resignation to state BJP president, district I/c Zunheboto, and president BJP Zunheboto six days back. He also stated that he did not publish it in the media as he did not want “to play petty politics.”
“As a matured political worker, I joined the BJP, to strengthen the party from grass root level and to bring about as many reformations as I could in my own capacity as a sincere party leader, but seeing the autocratic style of Shri Shikuto Sumi it is really disheartening which has led me to take this extreme step” the release stated.
“BJP is a National political party where we work under the directives of centre, for which I am well aware but Mr. Shikuto who runs the party office in Dimapur without knowing the ground realities in his own division and commanding the party by being in his comfort zone at Dimapur without being in station is just a mockery of a National party like BJP. While I in good spirit advised him to be in the station to strongly strengthen the party, but he took it otherwise and rather tagged me as being an “anti party” where he felt uncomfortable of my good advice,” Zhimomi stated.
“Mr. Shikuto Sumi is also sadly not aware of my resignation letter which was addressed to him in the office of BJP Zunheboto six days back and without knowing any happenings in the division he has gone ahead with the press release saying I am removed from party for which I am utterly shocked,” the statement added.
