DIMAPUR — Nagaland produced a commanding batting display to defeat Mizoram by 177 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (Plate) List A match at JSCA Oval Ground, Ranchi, on December 29.
Nagaland won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a massive 399/4 in 50 overs, which stands as the second-highest total of the 2025–26 season.
Their inning was powered by two centuries. Nischal D led the charge with a dominant 182 off 130 balls. Sedezhalie scored an exceptional 124 off 118 balls, providing balance to the aggression.

For Mizoram, Karthik C A took two wickets for 82 runs in 10 overs.
Chasing the target, Mizoram were bowled out for 222 in 42 overs. Sahil Reza scored 104 off 105 balls, but the lack of strong partnerships meant the chase did not gain momentum.
Nagaland’s bowling unit maintained discipline, with Imliwati taking 3/35 and Akavi taking 3/36.
