Animal husbandry and veterinary services giving away fodder and materials for piggery shed construction to Kidima villagers under RKVY scheme on April 24.[/caption]
Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): The department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AHVS) distributed fodder and materials to a piggery facility in Kidima in Kohima district on April 24.
The action was initiated as part of the RKVY scheme. The team was led by the Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Joseph M Angami, updates informed.
A press release form the department stated that with the inauguration of quarantine check post at Kidima on March 27, the department also did its bit by distributing fodder, besides materials for construction of sheds for piggery and other livestock.
Punglwa appreciates
The chairman of the Punglwa village council (PVC) had expressed gratitude to the department of animal husbandry and veterinary services for adopting Punglwa village for the implementation of village piggery development through village adoption under RKVY 2017-18.
A press release from the chairman on Tuesday informed that the veterinary department would also provide feeds and farm equipment.
The village council chairman has expressed gratitude to MK Mero, principal secretary of animal husbandry, for his benevolent action towards the village.
