Vetazo is Chozuba Range champion

Kohima, Jan. 16 (EMN):
Vetazo Veswuh won the coveted 28th edition of the Chozuba Range Wrestling Association Championship, 2020 that was held at Chozuba town on January 16.

Veswuh of Suthozu Nagwu village, who weighs 78 kg and measures 5’8 feet in height, walked away with a cash prize of INR 80,000 for winning the competition.

Meanwhile, second position holder, Vesapra Medeo of Rünguzu Nasa village (weighs 94 kg and 5’10 feet tall) pocketed INR 60,000. Küneshoyi Zu-o of Suthozu Nagwu village (weighs 81 kg and 6 feet tall) was awarded INR 40,000 for winning the third prize and fourth position holder Nüzosa Nyekha of Chozuba village (weighs 77 kg and 5’8 feet tall) received INR 30,000.

Earlier in the day, MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu attended the inaugural programme as special guest; CRWA president Kukhoto Venyo delivered the presidential address and CRWA general secretary Sevoyi Swuro administered the oath-taking ceremony.

Meanwhile, wrestling competition for the under-16 category will take place today, on January 17.
