DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 9: Veracious FC Zapami emerged as the champion of the '1st Win FC Open Penalty Shootout tournament' held at Pfutsero Sports Complex in Phek district on October 7 and 8.
Veracious FC took the trophy along with the cash award of Rs 50,000, while 10 Star FC Pfutsero, Cluster FC Kami and Kuzukuve Kro Kikruma secured the 2nd, 3rd and 4th position by receiving cash award of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. This was informed in a press release by the organizers on Sunday.
Zeko Wetsah of 10 Star FC was declared as the best goalkeeper, while Ritsho of Veracious FC bagged the best shooter title and PWD Youth Organization was awarded the fair play award.
Isaac Kronu, 1st class contractor, and Er. Visakho Therie, graced the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honour at the two-day tournament. Altogether 21 teams participated in the tournament.
