YouthNet and government departments conduct Vendor Development Programme in Tuensang.under RAMP scheme for MSMEs.

DIMAPUR — A two-day Vendor Development Programme (VDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme was conducted at Tuensang Town Hall on February 26 and 27.
The event was organised by YouthNet in collaboration with the Department of Industries and Commerce, the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC), and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), supported by the World Bank.
According to an update, the programme aimed to bring together micro and small enterprises (MSEs), public sector undertakings (PSUs), and financial institutions to facilitate business linkages and create awareness about government schemes.
Representatives from various departments, including State GST, State Bank of India (SBI), Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC), Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), and Nagaland State Co-operative Bank, delivered sessions.

Topics included GST compliance, vendor development, credit linkages, NHHDC initiatives, KVIC schemes, promotion of indigenous products under RAMP’s Naturally Nagaland initiative, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), and Amazon seller registration.
Two local entrepreneurs shared their MSME journeys, providing insights into entrepreneurial success.
Over 70 participants, including MSME entrepreneurs from Tuensang, Shamator, and Noklak districts, took part in the programme. The event featured exhibitions showcasing local products from sectors such as food processing, handloom, handicrafts, weaving, retail, agriculture, and service-based enterprises.
YouthNet stated that similar programmes will continue to be organised across the state to empower MSMEs.
