Mokokchung, July 15 (EMN): Late Ved Prakash Memorial Building was inaugurated by the general manager of NHIDCL, Z Samson Vijay Kumar, at New Reserve, Mokokchung, on July 15.
Speaking on the occasion, Samson Vijay Kumar expressed hope that the students would get a good future with addition of computer knowledge.
Short speech was also delivered by the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, wherein he has commended the contribution rendered by NHIDCL and DEF Mokokchung. He informed that the building was completed within a span of one year with an estimate cost of INR 23,40,500 with the contribution from NHIDCL and DEF Mokokchung.
Superintendent of police, KM Aotula T Imchen, declared that the new building was dedicated to Late Ved Prakash, former SP of Mokokchung, who was martyred in 1994.
The building is equipped with a computer lab, a science lab along with additional classrooms for the unit school of DEF Mokokchung, officials said.
MI Room inaugurated in Mokokchung
A Medical Intern (MI) Room was inaugurated by the Superintendent of Police Mokokchung, KM Aotula T Imchen, at New Reserve on July 15.
Speaking on the occasion, Aotula stated that the importance of MI Room was realised during the Covid-19 pandemic. She urged the DEF personnel and the people living in New Reserve to utilise it to its full extent.
“It’s just a first aid medical facility; we may not have adequate medical equipment but take advantage to avail its services,” she said.
Additional SP of Mokokchung, Imtimeren, stated that it took six months to complete the project with contribution from well-wishers and DPDB Mokokchung. He informed that the donors have provided basic medicines, beds, bed stands, saline hangers, executive chairs, officer tables, almirah etc.
The inaugural programme was followed with a medical camp.
