Dimapur, Feb. 18 (EMN): Officials of the Nagaland National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) led by programme officer Dr. Talitemsula Jamir, Deputy Director Dr. Neisakho Kere, and state consultants toured Tuensang district “on account of monitoring and supervision of the programme activities,” in the district. A press release that was received here on Monday informed that the tour was undertaken during February 13-16.
The team visited the district hospital, two health units and one village in Noklak and five health units in Tuensang Sardar, the updates stated.
A “district review meeting” was also conducted on February 15 with the chief medical officer of Tuensang, and district staff of the NVBDCP, the updates stated.
Further, matters about programme implementation in the district were discussed, besides conducting reviews of the performance of field workers.
‘The findings from the visit to various health units were also shared by the state team whereupon the district was requested to follow up and address the issues accordingly,’ the press release stated.
