DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14: Vanguard FC organised “Tseminyu’s football clinic-cum-selection trial” on August 12 and 13 at Rengma Sports Association Ground (RSA), Tseminyu Old Town, according to a press release issued to the media on Sunday.
84 players ranging from twelve to twenty six years joined the 2-day football event to learn and also seal their slots in the Vanguard FC's team roster.
The participants were trained by 12 trainers led by Vanguard FC's Captain Yhunshalo Kemp and senior players Nyithong Magh and Kenyuhyun Khing.
On Day 1, the 4-groups divided on the basis of age were put to intensive training focusing on building the foundations of the physical and mental aspects of the game.
On Day 2, after hours of training activities, the trainees were given some field-play time guided by their respective trainers for game training. The younger group of players aged of twelve to fourteen were trained separately.
At the end of the 2-day event, 20 names short-list were announced for undergoing further training and selection. An exhibition match was also played between the Vanguard FC Promoters and Vanguard FC Officials.
The Vanguard FC Management also inivited interested individuals and groups to join hands as club members to carry forward the Vanguard goal of leading in developing football at the grass-roots level and building a generation of trained footballers.
