Imphal, May 31 (EMN): Zillai (Vaiphei Students’ Association) commemorated its 80 years of existence on Friday at the VPC Community Centre, Bethel Veng in Churachandpur district of Manipur.
Addressing the gathering, Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen called upon the citizens to live in peace and harmony irrespective of caste, creed, culture or language.
Positive attitude is the basis of all round development of the society, she said.
She called on the students’ community to encourage the youths in the field of education.
Highlighting various welfare schemes and programs implemented by the government, the minister urged the people to avail the benefits.
Meritorious students of class X and XII 2019 batch were felicitated.
Cultural troupes from various villages presented cultural dances and musical sequences to mark the event.
