The US Consul General in Kolkata, Helen LaFave, is on a four-day visit to Nagaland. On her arrival at Dimapur on Sunday, Helen was shown around, by members of the Nagaland Bio Resource Mission, ‘Medicinal & Aromatic Nursery’ located at 5th Mile Dimapur.
The US Consul General, who was scheduled to leave for Kohima later in the day, lauded the NBRM as well as the proprietor of the nursery, Nihokhu Chopy, stating that she was “fascinated by what you have done here.”
The Consul General shared that she was impressed by how Nagaland has “taken full advantage of its land and resources” despite of the topographical setbacks.
Helen also informed that she was scheduled to meet the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary in Kohima on Monday to discuss ‘issues on drug trafficking as well as human trafficking.”
