Kohima, April 2 (EMN): Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister, on Saturday met with the office of the US Consul General Kolkata and the Consul General of Germany, Manfred Auster, and discussed on building friendships, strengthening bilateral ties, working collaboratively, and creating opportunities.
While thanking them for visiting Nagaland and participating in the Hornbill Festival, Metha also highlighted the state government’s initiatives in the fields of tourism, arts, culture, music and sports, informed an update from DIPR.
The advisor also told the diplomats about the announcements made by the chief minister during the recent budget session and expressed hope of collaborations on ‘Hornbill on Tour’, sports and cultural exchanges. The US Consulate and the German Consul General appreciated the programmes including Hornbill Festival and expressed desire to further enhance collaborations and partnerships with Nagaland and the region, the update added.
