Dimapur, May 22 The much awaited 75 years jubilee of Ura Academy in the state capital Kohima will be celebrated on May 29 and 30 from NBCC Convention centre with Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Governor of Nagaland & Manipur, as the chief guest and Timikha Koza, president of Tenyimi People’s Organisation (TPO), as the guest of honour. In an exclusive interview with Rüpfünuo, general secretary of Ura Academy Metsilhouthie Mor, said Ura Academy will be celebrating platinum Jubilee (1939-2014) from May 29 starting at 5 p.m. onwards till May 30, adding that more than 3000 delegates are expecting to attend the celebration with an additional hundreds of special invitees.Moreover, Mor also said that the State government had already given a restricted holiday on May 30 for the celebration in particular to the Tenyimi community which comprised of Angami, Chakhesang, Rengma, Puchuri, Zeliang, Mao, Pumai, Impui , Maram and Thangal. There will be a mega exhibition on cultural and literature. He informed that the transportation committee will be providing free bus service in every bus stop in the state capital for those who are will to attend the celebration.
