Upto 50% fines for late renewal of trade licences in Dimapur

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed all shopkeepers, traders, business establishments, and commercial institutions within its jurisdiction that the last date for renewing their trade licences for the year 2024–25 without incurring late fines is May 31.

In an order issued by the DMC, it has been mentioned that any renewal after May 31 will attract late fines, which have been worked out as a percentage of the trade licence fee amount.

The late fines are as follows:

  • For the period from June 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024: 10% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from July 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024: 15% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from August 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024: 20% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from September 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024: 25% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from October 1, 2024, to October 31, 2024: 30% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from November 1, 2024, to November 30, 2024: 35% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from December 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024: 40% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from January 1, 2025, to January 31, 2025: 45% of the trade licence fee.
  • For the period from February 1, 2025, to February 28, 2025: 50% of the trade licence fee.

The DMC has maintained that the order is for strict compliance.
