Diphu, July 23 (EMN): Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang affirmed that for the sake of Autonomous State if needed the council will give their resignation from MAC for the long pending issue and aspirations of Autonomous State. He was addressing at the 58th Foundation Day of Karbi Students Association (KSA) on July 21 as the chief guest. This affirmation by Ronghang was appreciated by the United People’s Liberation Army (UPLA) a Karbi outfit militant through a press statement.
CEM Ronghang in his address said ‘all have to come together as one in order to obtain the Autonomous State as many lives and houses were lost during the last many years in autonomous state struggle movement’.
The UPLA also called on the KAAC, CEM Tuliram Ronghang to take immediate steps to solve the long pending issues of the hills people while appealing them to pressurise the central government for permanent solution.
UPLA in their press statement widely declared ‘if the central government and state government do not take fulfil their demand for separate state, more turmoil will occur in the region where both the central and state government will be held responsible’.
