Upgrading of facilities dominates Peren DPDB meeting

[caption id="attachment_247669" align="aligncenter" width="700"] Namri Nchang addressing DPDB meeting at DC'S Conference Hall, New DC Complex, Peren on May 6.[/caption] Dimapur, May 6 (EMN): The Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) deliberated on some key issues, including the need to upgrade several government facilities during its meeting held at DC'S Conference Hall, New DC Complex, Peren under the chairmanship of advisor, water resources and chairman DPDB Peren, Namri Nchang on May 6. The participants of the meeting discussed on construction of ADC Tening official residence, bill collection centre Tening under power department, and improving mobile phone connectivity in Tening/Nsong areas, informed an update from DIPR. The house also deliberated on upgrading of PHC Tening to CHC, Veterinary Dispensary Tening to V.O and SDAO office at Tening. Pending 2014 DPDB resolutions such as upgrading of GMS to GHS Beisumpuikam was highlighted by Sr. SDEO Peren at the meeting. The participants discussed on the need to take action on the police out post at Nsong and full-fledged range office at Nsong, besides deciding to ask the concerned department to introduce Science stream in Government Higher Secondary school Peren. While congratulating all the government officials and staff for their cooperation in the recently concluded Lok Sabha election in the district, Nchang requested them “to be in station and also to inform the DC whenever they are unable to attend the DPDB meeting.” The medical department and PWD (R&B) highlighted the activities that have been initiated by the respective departments in the district in a slide show. Many issues pertaining to the welfare of the district were discussed at the meeting and Peren DC and Vice Chairman of DPDB, Sarita Yadav, IAS delivered vote of thanks.
