Dimapur, Dec. 14: Providing a platform for the young talents in the fashion industry to showcase their creativity and works, the third day of the Dimapur Night Carnival (DNC) 2018 was dedicated to the upcoming designers from the state.
Nagaland Hotels Limited Chairman Ato Yepthomi graced the event held at the Naga Shopping Arcade Supermarket in Dimapur on Friday.
Yepthomi in his address recounted the times when Nagaland was in Indo-Naga war-like situation with shops being closed so early due to security reasons.
"Everyone feared to come out at night and shutters were down by 5 pm. But with the introduction of night carnival in the city, people have started coming out at late night with enthusiastic participation and this was the achievement made by the organisers,” said Yepthomi.
He said that it (improvement in nightlife) was because of the introduction of night carnival where many entrepreneurs get the platform to expose their talents. He congratulated the organisers and the administration for the initiative and making the people feel secure even at night.
He went on to implore upon the participants to contribute more and expose their talents through the opportunity and the platform provided.
