Dimapur, April 16 (EMN): The United Naga Tribes Association on Border Areas (UNTABA), in pursuance of their set objective in bringing about amicable settlement on the old age Naga traditional and historical boundary issue with Assam had been initiating multi-prong strategies with practical approaches.
In continuation of the collective efforts, a consultative public meeting has been called on April 21 at Community Hall, Tzudikong, to be hosted by Tuli Area Joint Council Forum (TAJCF), so as to evolve people’s consensus on the final policy approaches to be forwarded to the Government of Nagaland for effective implementation and to be tabled at the negotiating parties at appropriate times with all the stake-holders on board.
UNTABA Ccairman, Hukavi T. Yepthomi and general secretary, Imsumongba Pongen, informed that the meeting shall deliberate on policy approach on boundary settlement of the Naga traditional and historical boundary with Assam and evolving consensus opinion on the points of consultations with all the stake holders involved on the issue.
The UNTABA appealed to all the people’s representatives (MLAs) of all the border constituencies of Nagaland, government machineries of Civil and Police Administrations of all border districts, all the border magistrates, official representatives of Naga Tribes Hohos, all the frontal organisations of Nagaland, the Village Council members and GBs from all the border areas, Advisory Board, executive committee and the action committee members of UNTABA to make it convenient and attend positively with valuable inputs.
