According to the editorial note of UNSETI 50th anniversary
souvenir, 2024 marked a pivotal milestone for the camp.
“This anniversary invites deep reflection on the enduring
legacy of unity, sacrifice and the shared vision that has guided the Naga
struggle for their inherent rights,” it stated.
The souvenir emphasised that the founding of UNSETI camp was
not just an event but a powerful testament to the Naga people's determination
to preserve their identity, culture and aspirations.
“The camp became a sanctuary for values such as integrity,
mutual respect and shared purpose, serving as a cornerstone of unity in times
of challenge and uncertainty.
“Today, fifty years later, it remains a symbol of resilience
and hope, showing what can be achieved when the Naga people unite, transcend
divisions and work toward a common goal. The sacrifices of the pioneers
continue to inspire the Naga people, urging them to embrace unity in all their
endeavours,” the editorial read.
The theme ‘Unite us again’ called for the revival of the
bonds that have historically united the Naga people. It served as a timely
reminder to rise above differences and recommit to the collective aspirations
of the Naga people, it added.
