Dimapur, Nov. 14 (EMN): Power supply to consumers who have not paid bills for two consecutive months under Dimapur electrical division will be discontinued without any further notice, according to a notification from the department on Thursday.
Besides failure to play bills, those indulging in illegal activities like “metre tampering and hooking” will also be penalised with disconnection, it added.
“Our valuable consumers are advised to pay their electricity bill within the stipulated time in order to avoid any inconveniences. In case of any discrepancies/grievances regarding your electricity bill, please visit the office of the respective SDO (E) No-I, II, III for clarification/correction/rectification at the earliest,” read the statement.
Also, it informed that bills can be paid online at ww.dopn.gov.in; and consumers can download an app named ‘dopn’ or ‘Paytm’ on android phones “for hassle-free payment of your electricity bill in just a few minutes from any place anywhere”.
