Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): The National Health Mission Employees Association has decided to boycott work from Dec. 15 until the state government releases fund meant for the central flagship.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the association claimed that as per directive from the government of India, ministry of Health and Family Welfare vide GoI letter No. D.O.No. G. 27017/6/2015-NHM (Fin) dated 7th June 2016, fund from the state treasury to state health society (NHM) account has to be transferred within 15 days on receipt of funds from the movement of India.
“It is also learned that the state had received the 1st instalment for the Financial Year 2018-19 from the Gol, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The NHM employees’ salary was not paid from September till November 2018 (3 months). Earlier, on 10th September 2018, the Association had submitted the representation to the Chief Secretary, government of Nagaland and chairman of governing body, state health society NHM for timely release of fund from State Treasury to State Health Society (NHM) within 15 days.
“But, the same trend of pending salaries has been followed till date which has adversely impacted on the performance of NHM as well as well-being of the employees. The association also appeals the government that the salary component should be reserved for one financial year as and when they received the fund, so that the employees may get their salary in time,” the statement read.
