Unity Cup: Hurricane CC, Thahekhu knight XI enter finals

Dimapur, Jan. 16 (EMN): Hurricane CC defeated Bonafight CC by 123 runs on Thursday to enter the final of the 5th Unity Cup.

Hurricane CC chose to bat first and put up a total of 185 runs in the stipulated 20 overs with Ajay Singh scoring 52 runs.

Chasing the stiff target, Bonafight CC succumbed to pressure and made only 62 runs in 20 overs.

Singh, who scored a half century for Hurricane CC, was adjudged Man of the match.

The semi-final match between Hurricane CC and Bonafight CC was graced by David, an entrepreneur from Chümoukedima, as match patron.

In the second match of the day, Thahekhu Knight XI beat Whiskers CC by 52 runs to enter the final of the tournament.

Batting first, Knight XI Thahekhu put up a total of 146 runs in 20 overs with Abura scoring 41 runs.

Chasing the target, Whiskers CC scored only 95 runs in 20 overs, thus losing the match by 52 runs.

Nagaho of Knight XI Thahekhu was adjudged Man of the match for his knock of 24 runs and three-wicket haul.

The second semi-final match was attended by Shiva Gurung, an entrepreneur from Chümoukedima, as match patron.
