
Commemorating ‘World Day of the Fight Against Sexual Exploitation,’ the women development cell of Unity College visited Swadhar Greh and Child Care Institute under Prodigal’s Home at Fellowship Colony, Dimapur, on March 4.
An update from the college stated that team comprised of members from the women development cell and 30 students both from undergraduate and postgraduate.
It stated Phengna Konyak, coordinator of the centre, gave a briefing on the working of the Prodigal’s Home and how they carry out their social work and projects and other outreach programmes.
The team held interaction and conducted fun-filled activities for children. It stated that four groups consisting four students each were engaged for case study, where they were allowed to interact with the inmates keeping their identity confidential.
It further stated that the women development cell contributed 50 kg bag of rice and also provided lunch for everyone.
