- Appeal for uninterrupted power supply during HSLC and HSSLC
examinations
- DIMAPUR — The
United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC), on behalf of the student community
of Kiphire and Longkhim-Chare under Tuensang district, has sought a stable and
uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming HSLC and HSSLC examinations,
which are set to commence from February 11 and 12 to February 24 and March 7
respectively.
- In a letter to the executive engineer of Power department,
Kiphire division, the union stated that frequent power outages could
significantly impede their preparation and performance as a vast number of
students rely on electricity for nighttime study and digital learning. It added
that disruption during the period could create unnecessary obstacles to their
academic progress.
- It, therefore, urged the concerned department to ensure an
uninterrupted power supply especially during evening and late night hours to
facilitate seamless study routines. It added that a consistent power supply
would greatly benefit student community, enabling them to excel in their
academic pursuits.
- While acknowledging the indispensable service rendered by
the Power department, USSC expressed confident in the commitment to fostering
education and the aspirations of young minds.
