United Naga Council, Catholic Association of Nagaland and other groups extend condolences over the demise of NMA President Vilanuo Angela Yhome.
DIMAPUR — Multiple organisations, including the United Naga Council, Catholic Association of Nagaland, Naga People's Organisation, and Senapati District Women Association, have expressed grief and extended condolences over the demise of Naga Mothers’ Association President Vilanuo Angela Yhome on July 31.
United Naga Council: In a condolence message, United Naga Council expressed sorrow and condolences to her family and loved ones, describing her as an educationist and a leader who dedicated her life to the upliftment of society and the cause of the Naga people.
"In her passing, the Naga people have lost a tall leader who stood resolutely for the historical and political rights of the Nagas without borders. Her legacy of service, courage, compassion and motherly leadership will continue to inspire generations to come. Indeed, She was a mother to many!" the council said, praying for eternal rest for her soul.
Catholic Association of Nagaland: The Catholic Association of Nagaland, in a message, expressed deep sorrow at her sudden and untimely demise, describing her as a humble, hard-working, and devout Catholic who held various positions in the church laity associations with sincerity and dedication.
"The Catholic community is grateful to God for the gift of our beloved sister, Angela Yhome, for coming into our lives. Life, as we know, is uncertain, and we don’t know when we will be called. Angela lived a life of preparation for heaven by serving the people with zeal and fervour. We pray that God will bless her with the reward of heavenly life," the message read.
Naga People's Organisation: The Naga People’s Organisation, Senapati, expressed shock and sadness, stating that her passing is an immense loss to the entire Naga community.
"She will always be remembered for her selfless service and compassionate leadership for the welfare of the Naga people and her tireless efforts in promoting peace, unity, justice, and the dignity of the Naga Nation," the organisation stated, extending heartfelt sympathies to the family and the Naga Mothers' Association.
Senapati District Women Association: The Senapati District Women Association, in a message, expressed heartfelt condolences, highlighting her dedicated service, inspiring leadership, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the Naga people.
The association extended its deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and the Naga Mothers’ Association, praying for strength, comfort, and eternal peace.
