Union Minister Shripad Naik to visit Longleng from Oct. 16–18 to review projects, address local issues, and inspect power infrastructure.

DIMAPUR — Union Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Yesso Naik, is scheduled to undertake a three-day visit to Longleng district from October 16 to the 18th.
According to official sources, the visit is expected to include key announcements and outline the Union government’s policy directions and development vision for the district.
On October 16, the minister will address a programme at Yingli College, the only college in the district, where officials are expected to present an overview of Longleng’s socio-economic profile, infrastructure status, and ongoing development projects.
Tribal hoho representatives are also expected to highlight local aspirations and submit a memorandum to the minister.

The following day, October 17, Naik will visit Pongo village, reportedly in connection with a proposed hydro project in the area.
During the visit, he is scheduled to interact with villagers, council members and youth representatives, and inspect the 132/33 KV new substation at Pongo.
After the field visit, the minister is expected to inspect the ongoing construction of the District Hospital, Longleng, and later hold a meeting with heads of departments (HODs) at the district headquarters.
As per the itinerary, Naik will depart for Jorhat in Assam on October 18.
