Union Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey met Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to review central schemes and discuss development during his visit to the state.

DIMAPUR — Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey on Sunday met Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as part of his two-day visit to the state to review the progress of central government schemes.
Following the meeting, Dubey said he held “detailed and meaningful discussions” with the chief minister on the comprehensive development of Nagaland. In a message shared on X, the Union minister said deliberations covered the progress of development projects, possibilities in the mining sector, local job creation, sustainable development, and strengthening Centre–state coordination for effective implementation of central schemes.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Centre would continue to work in collaboration with the Nagaland government for infrastructure development and regional progress.
Chief Minister Rio, in a separate post on X, said it was a pleasure to meet and interact with Dubey and welcomed his visit to the state. He expressed hope that the visit would contribute to positive outcomes and wished the Union minister a pleasant stay in Nagaland.
Dubey was on a two-day tour of Kohima district as part of the fortnightly visits undertaken by Union ministers to the Northeast region.
During his visit, the Union minister held interactions with various departments and visited Rusoma village where he inspected various work sites.
