Unidentified body found in Dimapur

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Police recovered the unidentified dead body of a non-Naga male, aged around 55-60 years, on October 29.

In a press note, the police informed that at around 8:30 pm, verbal information was received by the police about the person found lying dead on a veranda near SD Jain Hr. Secondary School, Dimapur.

Accordingly, the East PS duty party went to the PO site and ascertained the dead. An inquest was conducted over the dead body, and no foul play was established.

As per the witnesses, the deceased was a homeless person suspected to have died due to starvation.

On completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for postmortem.

The person was dressed in black checked trousers and a white checked shirt.
