To promote the cause of literacy/ inclusion, a one day Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) in Ungma village under Mokokchung district on March 26. The camp was organized by Care and Support Society, Mokokchung, in collaboration with Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd and sponsored by NABARD under FIF.
During the programme, S Amarjit Mangang, DDM, NABARD, informed the villagers about the objectives and significance of financial inclusion. He highlighted the role played by NABARD in financial inclusion programme. He further shared in detail the Farmers Club, SHG and JLG programme and role of NABARD in creating infrastructure in the district.
Temsulepden Imchen, Assistant Branch Manager, FLC in-charge, NSCB, Mokokchung, shared the importance of banking, savings, financial planning. He further highlighted various financial services offered by the banks for the public.
Programme was chaired by Imchawati Kichu, Managing Director of Care and Support Society, while the welcome address was delivered by I Alem Imsong, chairman of Ungma Village Council.
Altogether 75 participants attended the programme.
