TUENSANG — The
second edition of the Under-17 Youth League began on Wednesday at the Loyem
Memorial Astro Turf Ground, Tuensang.
The league, organised by the Haat-Shaang Brothers, has
Changsang Ongbou, a veteran footballer and AIFF Coach D Licence holder, as the
tournament convenor, with Menya Wongto Chang serving as the match commissioner.
The inauguration featured a welcome address by Matchi Lemba
and an invocation by Bin, youth pastor of Müpung Baptist Church.
The first match was played between defending champions
Shaangle FC and Hill Star FC, with Shaangle FC winning 3-0.
A total of 15 teams will be vying for the trophy during the
three-day league.
