NNN SENAPATI, January 27 The United Naga Council has appealed to all the Naga people in Manipur to uphold the Declaration of the 3rd Naga Peoples’ Convention (NPC) in letter and spirit, declaring severance of political ties with the "communal Government" of Manipur, demanding Alternative Arrangement (AA) outside the Government of Manipur pending Indo-Naga political settlement. UNC also appealed to the Naga public not to give any platform and co-operation to all the "un-mandated" ADC members which had been already declared “null and void” by the 3rd NPC. The UNC then cautioned all Naga people to remain alert and not to be trapped in the ‘well laid trap of oppressive’ state government’s policies in trying to sabotage the peoples’ democratic movement which is politically established and registered at the highest political level through the guise of development, festivals and other enticement including that of Lui-Ngai-NI Festival. Further, UNC appealed to all the Naga tribe hohos, civil societies, religious organisations and political organisations to stand unitedly in their respective regions and take up appropriate measures to translate NPC Declaration into reality till attainment of our cherish political aspiration.
