Dimapur, April 21 (EMN): A Cornerstone Youth Conclave Model United Nations Club (CYCMUN)- an organisation formed to promote model United Nations in Zunheboto- conducted a pre-conference cum workshop programme at Cornerstone on April 20 with the participation of four schools namely Cornerstone, Olympic, Merry Hill and Step by Step.
During the programme, CYCMUN president Akivito Chishi, spoke on the importance of effective public speaking, while Ahupeka Assumi highlighted on MUN and UN to the participants.
A press release issued by Bombo K Yeptho, HOD of information set and media CYCMUN, stated that 37 students and six teachers from four different schools attended the interaction-based programme. The discussions were held on several topics and the participants, both teachers and students who attended the programme, gave encouraging feedbacks. Impressed with the outcome of the programme, they strongly felt that no school should be left out in the next conclave.
The programme began with an invocation said by Kaboli Aye, while the welcome speech was delivered by Philip Hansen, vice principal of Cornerstone. A special song was presented by Three Little Birds. The four hour programme concluded with a benediction said by Lika K Rochill.
