DIMAPUR — The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Regional Office, Guwahati, conducted a training session at Town Hall, Dimapur, on Wednesday for Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.


According to an update, it was on the newly launched Universal Client — an advanced, fully online Aadhaar enrolment software — aimed at enhancing the efficiency and performance of Aadhaar operators and supervisors across the region.


The training session was attended by government officials, supervisors, master trainers and operators. More than 150 participants attended the training session.

The training emphasised the key features and benefits of Universal Client, highlighting its significant improvements in terms of usability and speed. The participants were encouraged to carry out Aadhaar enrolment/update facilities through Universal Client, as it facilitates a faster and more efficient process.


The training session also focused on the Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) of children in Aadhaar between the ages of 5 and 7 years and 15 and 17 years, respectively. During this process, the child's photograph, all ten fingerprints, and both irises are scanned.
