DIMAPUR — The UGN/NNC Parent Body (PB) held an “extraordinary emergency meeting” of all ranks and files convened by the president of UGN on August 20.

According to an update from the office of the President of the United Government of Nagaland, signed by President Kiutsanghiung, the house allegedly found that Akaho, vice president of the United Government of Nagaland (UGN), and Nupavi, interim ato kilonser (general secretary), had deliberately violated the party’s code of conduct through unconstitutional practices, abuse of entrusted power and authority, and deception of the government through tax-related activities.

It stated that to preserve and protect the “Government Yehzabo”, the house unanimously suspended Akaho and Nupavi with immediate effect.
