Dimapur, Aug. 5 (EMN): The University Grants Commission (UGC) team has visited St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama for autonomous status on Aug. 5.
The team was led by Prof. AP Pandey, vice chancellor of Manipur University as chairperson; Prof. Ashok Sharma, School of Chemical Sciences; Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and Dr. Swami Kamalasthananda, principal of Ramakhrishna Mission Vivekananda as members; and Kuholi Chishi, director of Higher Education represented as state nominee, Prof. SK Chaturvedi, dept. of Botany and dean of RDC, NU as university nominee; and PN Gupta, section officer of UGC, New Delhi as coordinating officer, a press release received here on Sunday informed.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Ousepparampil welcomed the officials. Short note from Prof. AP Pandey and Kuholi Chishi, welcomed the guests on behalf of the state Government.
Principal of the college and various departments presented the reports. Sports faculty, Alumni association, teaching faculty members, coordinator of IQAC Rev. Fr. George Anthony, and library in-charge, Fr. Dr. Joy Thomas SVD also gave presentations.
