UGC notifies on special scholarship scheme for NE

Dimapur, Sep 1 (EMN): The University Grants Commission, Ministry of Human Resource Development Secretary, P.K.Thakur in the notification informed all concerned that the ‘Ishan Uday,’ a special scholarship for North Eastern region students has been boarded on National Scholarship Portal (http://scholarships.gov.in/). He also informed that the process of online application has commenced for the current academic year and forms are required to be verified so as to make the students eligible for scholarship. University/institute/college is informed to ensure that verification process may be completed on priority, so that they are not deprived of their eligibility of the award of scholarship for want of verification. The fresh application will be open till October 31.
