
DIMAPUR — Unity College of Teacher Education (UCTE), Dimapur, organised an activity on the theme ‘Celebrating differences’ on Saturday.
The objective of the programme was to sensitise and create more awareness about Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and their inclusion in educational institutions and in the society at large.
Children from Prodigals' Home, Dimapur were invited as special guests. Aosenla Jamir spoke on behalf of Prodigals' Home and the children also presented special songs and testimonies, an update stated.
Child Welfare Committee, Dimapur, Lozua Kape was the resource person.
A special song was presented by Merenlemla Longkumer, a third semester student, followed by a short message from UCTE principal, Dr. Akala Longkumer and welcome note by Khrolou Letuo, assistant professor.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Akaholi V Zhimomi of third semester, invocation by Neikerheno Secu, assistant professor and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. A. Krishnarathi, assistant professor.
