Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): Unity College of Teacher Education (UCTE), Dimapur bade farewell to 1st batch of B.Ed 2 year course on June 9.
Addressing the farewell programme, principal, Dr. T. Yolila Sangtam, admonished the students saying that life is tough and challenging situations has to be tackled with knowledge. She added that life is the biggest university and future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Representing the faculty, Keneivi-ü-Sechü shared that the completion of B. Ed course is not a culmination of training to be a teacher, but encouraged the students to give their best to build a better society.
The administrator, Orenthung Ovung, exhorted the students to value the profession that they had chosen and added if they could change the life of even one student it would be a reward in itself and make difference in their profession.
Eshah konyak of 2nd semester student teacher thanked the seniors for being their inspiration during their short stay together and wished them luck in their future endeavours.
Few students speaking on behalf of the outgoing batch expressed gratitude to the UCTE administration, faculty and their juniors for their personality and enhancing their compentency to become effective and affective teacher.
The programme was chaired by Abetoli Kiba and concluded with student-teachers of both the semesters and faculty matching their steps in the dance floor to celebrate their togetherness on the song “Stand by me”.
