KOHIMA — Two senior Nagaland police officers have been named recipients of the President’s Police Medals for distinguished and meritorious service on the occasion of Independence Day 2026.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Videlalie Zashumo has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), while IGP Limasunep Jamir has been conferred the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM).
The awards were announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs in its list of medal recipients for Police, Fire, Home Guard & Civil Defence and Correctional Services for Independence Day 2026.
