DIMAPUR — Two girls from Nagaland have made it to the Indian Women Sepaktakraw team that will compete in the upcoming 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
The two sepaktakraw players from the state – Sezovelu Dozo and Seyiekhrieno Tepa – are in the eight-member national team that will represent India in the Asia's biggest multi-sport event.
They were selected after undergoing two months of ‘national coaching’ in Goa and 45 days coaching in Bangkok, according to an update from the Nagaland Sepaktakraw Association (NSTA).
The Indian Women Sepaktakraw team will further undergo special coaching in New Delhi before they leave for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, which will commence from September 26 to October 9 this year.

The duo, who won bronze at the event, were selected for the 45-day coaching camp in Bangkok along with three other medal winners from the state, before they were short-listed for the Asian Games, which is expected to see more than 12,400 athletes compete in various disciplines.
The Nagaland women team had won silver in the national-level Sepaktakraw championship held in April this year.
