Two KCP cadres in security forces’ dragnet

[caption id="attachment_168411" align="alignnone" width="550"] Two suspected KCP cadres who were arrested by the combined team of the Manipur police and Assam Rifles.[/caption] Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): In a major breakthrough, a combined team of the Manipur police and the 6th Assam Rifles have arrested two cadres of the proscribed KCP group along with a huge quantity of weapons, explosives and drugs during an operation in Kontha Aallup in Manipur. The troops recovered two 9 mm pistols, two mines, one Improvised Explosive Device (IED), four live rounds, about 1.8kg opium and other contraband items from their possession. Both the cadres were involved in extortion activities and threatening and boycotting Catholic schools, the Assam Rifles press release stated. It added that one of them was the mastermind of various violent activities and extortion network of the KCP. With interrogation in progress, the Assam Rifles hoped to make more arrest in the coming days.
