Dimapur, May 15 (EMN): Dimapur police have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in illegal collection of yearly tax from the shopkeepers in and around Dimapur on May 15.
According to the additional commissioner of police and PRO, the accused persons have been identified as ‘ss’ Capt Hokishe Achumi (43), son of Shekhevi Achumi of Yehemi village in Zunheboto district and present resident of Thahekhu village, Block VII, and ‘ss’ 2nd Lt VikasheYepthomi (35), son of Shihoto Yepthomi of Achickuchu village in Zunheboto district and present resident of Naga Colony, Lane-2, Burma Camp.
Police recovered cash of INR 29,840, 10 pieces of papers with names, phone numbers and name of the shops, and two mobile handsets from their possession.
The statement further added that both the accused have confessed as members of NSCN (U). Accordingly, a case has been registered and further investigation is on, it added.
