DIMAPUR — A two-day training session for poultry farmers and community animal health workers (CAHWs) was held at the chief veterinary office conference hall, Kohima, on November 23 and November 28.
According to a press release, it was held as part of a collaborative effort between the district management unit Fostering Climate-Resilient Upland Farming Systems (FOCUS)-International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Project, Kohima district, and the chief veterinary office under the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Kohima.
The training aimed to improve poultry farmers' and CAHWs' skills and knowledge, thereby contributing to the overall development of the local animal husbandry sector.

The sessions also covered care and management of poultry and biosecurity measures, diseases of poultry, economic diseases of livestock, and diseases of livestock and their prevention and control (CSF/FMD), providing attendees with practical insights and hands-on knowledge.
