Nagaland Police arrested two persons in an extortion case at Diphupar Police Station and seized a vehicle used in the alleged offence.

DIMAPUR — Two persons were arrested by police on the night of February 2 in connection with an extortion case registered at Diphupar Police Station.
The arrested persons have been identified as Akivi Sumi, 42, and Tokayi Chishi, 31.
According to police, the arrests were made following a complaint lodged at Diphupar Police Station. During the operation, a vehicle allegedly used in the commission of the offence was seized.

A case has been registered against both accused under relevant sections of law, and they are currently under police custody for further investigation.
When asked about possible links to underground groups, Nagaland Police said that, as of now, no such connection has been established. Police added that investigations are continuing to ascertain the full extent of their involvement.
