Two arrested for hijacking goods-laden truck

Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Dimapur police, with the assistance of Kohima police, arrested two persons on charges of hijacking a goods-laden vehicle on October 16.

A bulletin issued by the additional deputy commissioner of police (crime) and PRO Dimapur police stated that the two persons waylaid a Tata mobile vehicle at Piphema area in the early hours of October 16 after overpowering the driver. It added that the vehicle along with the arrested persons was subsequently intercepted at Khuzama check gate.

The accused persons have been identified as Sanibou Zeliang (30) and Bokavi Zhimo (24). The report further stated that a case has been registered against the accused at Medziphema police station.
