Dimapur, Jan. 15: 32 Assam Rifles alongwith police representative launched an operation based on specific information in general area Burma Camp, on January 13, and arrested two arm peddlers.
During the operation, Paming (27), Song of Thangio, residence of Walford, Rengma Colony, Dimapur and Cleanson R Marak (36), son of late Davidson Dangma, residence of Walford, Dimapur, were arrested. One Pt 22 mm Pistol and one 7.65 mm Pistol were also recovered from their procession. The apprehended duo alongwith the recovered arms were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
