TWM Gaming from Nagaland placed 8th in BGIS 2023

KOHIMA — The Third World Mafia (TWM) Gaming from Nagaland came in the top 8 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 final which concluded on October 15, after a three-day riveting match in Mumbai.

Sixteen experienced and fresh teams from across the country participated in the prestigious esports tournament held on Oct. 12, 13 and 15 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium.

Gladiator Esports won the championship title of the BGIS 2023 and walked away with a cash prize of INR 75,00,000, Big Brother Esports landed in second place receiving INR 35,50,000, and third place was bagged by Team XSpark, who won INR 25,00,000.

TWM Gaming was placed eighth and received INR 4, 00,000.

The top eight teams including TWM Gaming of the BGIS final were selected for the invitational match of the BGMI India versus South Korea event, which will be held from October 26 to the 28th.

Organised by Krafton, the prize pool for the second edition of the BGIS tournament is INR 2 crore.

Notably, TWM Gaming from Nagaland is the only esports team from the North East to have qualified for the BGIS final so far.
