Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): A volleyball tournament organised by the Youth department, Tseminyu Village Baptist Church (TVBC) on the theme ‘Run to get the prize’ got underway at Tseminyu village local ground on Tuesday.
G K Rengma, president of the Rengma Sports Association (RSA), who was the special guest, emphasised that sports should encompass beyond football in the local context and appreciated the organisers for organising a volleyball tournament.
Stating that ‘discipline is a prerequisite in every field’, he urged the participating teams to develop a spirit of discipline and respect.
He further appealed the gathering to support and pray for the officials of RSA in view of the upcoming platinum jubilee and tournament, which will be held from Jan. 10 to the 20th, 2022 at RSA ground, Tseminyu.
18 men’s and four women’s teams are participating in the tournament.
