Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): The district administration of Tuensang has directed government officials there to be in station particularly during the elections. The IPR issued updates on Tuesday informing about a meeting of the Tuensang District Planning and Development Board.
The meeting was conducted on March 11. It was presided over by the board’s vice chairman, Mohammad Ali.
Ali, also the deputy commissioner of the district, sought full cooperation and assistance from the officials in conducting free and fair elections. The officers of the departments should be in station during elections, he said.
The board has also recommended agenda for approval by the government shifting the “dumping places,” registration of a group called Radical Society at Noklak village, and Mother’s Welfare Society of Tuensang.
The board also deliberated on issues concerning Chessore as an “aspirational” (sic) block. The matter was said to have been placed by advisor Toshi Wungtung. In this regard, the board decided to “give more time for the verification and it was taken to the next meeting,” the district IPR explained in its updates.
