Tuensang to maintain separate account for BSL-2 lab funds

Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The Tuensang chief medical officer’s (CMO) office and medical superintendent’s (MS) staff during its co-ordination meeting on September 5, decided that funds received for BSL-lab will be maintained separately and utilised when needed.

An update from the district media officer informed that the meeting was held at the District Hospital Tuensang to discuss the Covid-19 related activities in the district for the past six months.

Regarding the separate quarter arrangement for the healthcare workers, Sedem quarantine centre has been allotted. People working in the lab have been informed to submit line listing on time.

It was also decided that TrueNat machine will be made functional in the same old place; however, sample collection will be submitted to the lab.

HA Holichem highlighted how manpower is being utilised on Covid-19 duty starting from March till date while data manager Temjen informed that the team has completed swab collection for the fourth round so far.

CMO informed the members that there will be more activities in the coming days and urged all to co-ordinate and work together for the betterment of the district.
